pyrin is able to achieve higher transaction rates compared to many traditional PoW-based blockchains, as its structure enables faster block creation and transaction processing. In contrast to conventional blockchains, pyrin's GhostDAG protocol in combnination with the BLAKE3 hash algorithm enables the parallel creation of blocks. Blocks coexist and are ordered by consensus, forming a BlockDAG instead of a linear chain. Thanks to GhostDAG, pyrin can guarantee high block rates (one block per second) and fast transaction confirmations. pyrin includes features such as reachability, block data pruning and block header pruning plans. The unique consensus mechanism enables quick finality and low latency: in less than 10 seconds, a transaction is effectively processed and verified.
